This Naperville home underwent a full exterior renovation designed to improve durability, eliminate moisture vulnerabilities, and dramatically enhance curb appeal.
The homeowners wanted a clean, modern look with long-lasting materials that could withstand Midwest weather. Our team delivered a complete James Hardie siding system with upgraded trim, ventilation, and water management — transforming both the appearance and performance of the home.
Before & After Transformation
The original exterior showed signs of aging and lacked proper moisture protection and modern detailing. After the renovation, the home now features a crisp, high-contrast design with enhanced protection from top to bottom.

Siding & Trim Installation
- Installed James Hardie CedarMill Lap Siding (7” reveal) – Arctic White

- Installed 4” and 6” Hardie trim around windows, doors, and corners in Midnight Black
- Custom light blocks, spigot mounts, and electrical mounts for a clean finish
Moisture & Weather Protection
We focused heavily on building envelope performance — this is where most contractors cut corners.
- Installed HardieWrap moisture barrier with fully taped seams
- Applied butyl flashing tape around all windows and doors
- Installed metal flashing at all penetrations, corners, and transitions
- Added drip caps above windows to prevent water intrusion
- Installed roof-to-wall and base flashing to protect critical areas
Ventilation & Structural Improvements
- Installed hidden vent soffit system with continuous intake ventilation
- Replaced rotted fascia wood where needed before wrapping
- Wrapped fascia in custom aluminum for long-term durability
Gutters & Finishing Details
- Installed 5” seamless gutters (on-site fabricated)
- Installed oversized 3”x4” downspouts for improved drainage
- Installed Azek composite trim at garage with new weather stripping
